We had been advised to sow sweet peas in October, over winter, harden off and then risk planting out before the frosts are a distant memory. We took such advice this time round and have been rewarded with an abundant harvest of long, straight stemmed, exquisitely fragrant and colourful blooms. They are ready for cutting and will form the centre piece of our first bouquets which will be ready tomorrow!
