We've been captivated by this exquisite perennial since we first saw it planted on mass in the gardens of a French chateau some years ago. Despite its 'new', tongue twisting botanical name, Oenothera lindheimeri, it still remains a firm favourite of ours with its delicate, star shaped flowers on long wand-like stems. It also makes a delightful cut flower that is likely to be at the core of our bouquets for weeks to come.
